The world right outside your door is a wondrous and dangerous place. You never know what a day may bring you. I prefer stories where the wonder visits the people rather than the people get ripped away to wonderland. Wonder and danger are twins. They look alike, they sound a like, and they both draw us toward them—and both are drawn toward us.

Development note: When my daughter was 2 – I added Kalah to the story. I asked her what the girl’s name should be. She said, Sēlah (which is her name). I changed it up a bit and asked, “how does Kālah sound?” “Oh! Yes! I like that very much” she said. (NOTE: she likely said, “wike dat” or something similar.)
